I remember the evening very well. I finally stepped in to take a shower after a long day of hard work. As the warm water began to fall down over me, and I started to wash all the usual parts of my body practically on autopilot, something dawned on me. I quickly realized that one of the areas I could never scrub and deeply wash on body was my back. I’d simply ignored washing it before because I could never reach it.
It was in that moment that I realized that if it was this difficult for me to reach (being a healthy young man) - how difficult was it for pregnant women, people with disabilities or the elderly, or even those with joint issues?
It was in that moment I had a big breakthrough. An ‘aha’ moment. I knew that I’d just revealed a huge problem in the shower market that was not being solved properly. That was the day that my idea for Becker, a perfectly extended shower head, was born.
Once I had the idea for Becker in my mind, in the weeks to follow I went hard to work on it. I made various illustrations, I met with a mechanical engineer to determine the most ideal shape and length it needed to be in order for it to reach all areas of the body - and we also discussed how to make it the most hygienic shower head solution on the market as well.
The end result was the Becker Shower Head – a nearly 55 cm extended shower head that’s both ergonomically designed for ease of use, but also made to reach all areas of the body (especially the back). And thanks to the unique incorporation of anti-bacterial silicon hair and even water flow, effective soaping, scrubbing and washing can now happen all at once!
